IT was red noses galore at The Ridgeway Community School in Farnham as pupils completed a sponsored walk while digging deep in their pockets for Red Nose Day.

As everyone planned to dress up for the occasion staff thought it was a good opportunity to mark World Book Day on the same day.

Therefore staff and pupils swapped up their normal school attire for their favourite book character instead.

“Classes have walked a sponsored mile in the immediate locality of our school,” said Martina Vaughan Williams, English co-ordinator, and Melanie Hepper, PE co-ordinator.

“There was a choice of courses, one which is around the local area and one around the school buildings. Pupils have been able to do the mile in one go or in sections depending on their ability. All routes were suitable for wheelchair users.

“We would like to thank all the families and friends who have supported our pupils to complete this challenge.”
