PUPILS at St Nicholas School in Church Crookham have raised £330 for the charity Jeans for Genes.
The girls and staff joined thousands of adults and children across the UK by paying £1 to wear their jeans to work or school.
Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising campaign for national charity Genetic Disorders UK, which over the past 23 years has raised millions of pounds to fund ground-breaking medical research and family support services for children diagnosed with genetic conditions, such as haemophilia, muscular dystrophy and cystic fibrosis.
There are more than 6,000 different genetic conditions which affect one-in-25 children in the UK.
At St Nic’s, school assemblies were held and video clips shown explaining the work of the charity.
