CHILDREN at Liphook Junior School had an exciting launch to their new topic To Infinity and Beyond when Peter Bassett brought his huge inflatable dome to school for an astronomy roadshow.

With many people in Britian following the exploits of astronaut Tim Peake, from Chichester, on board the International Space Station, pupils at the school in Avenue Road, learned many fascinating facts about the planets and the night sky, and are now looking forward to continuing their learning by doing further research.

Headteacher Michele Frost said: ‘It is such an enjoyable experience for the children to see this astronomy show – I am sure they will remember this for a very long time.”
