PUPILS at St Nicholas’ School in Church Crookham raised £339 for Sport Relief with a sports-themed mufti day last Friday.

Pupils brought in £1 to wear a sports kit of their own choice or a Sport Relief t-shirt. Wet suits, climbing gear, hockey strips, ski suits and netball kits were all on display this year.

As well as an assembly on the Sport Relief charity, seniors and juniors ran the Sport Relief Mile. Some year eights sang as they ran while others ran around throwing and catching a ball as they went along.

“All the girls joined in the spirit of Sport Relief,” said Brenda Green, director of sport, who organised the events on the day. “It was a fun day and running the Sport Relief Mile was a real challenge for some of the younger girls but they all got there!”
