BROOKHAM School children had a lovely day celebrating the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations, marking the Year of the Dog.

Pupils came to the school in Liphook dressed in Chinese clothes or the lucky colour red and enjoyed a storytelling session led by Fanzhi Yang, where they learned about the 12 animals of the Oriental zodiac.

They tasted seaweed crackers and some children challenged themselves to use chopsticks.

Everybody enjoyed participating in a dragon dance and making their own lanterns, before going home with a fortune cookie and a set of their own chopsticks.
