THE classrooms of a small village school near Petersfield made way for a Hindu temple in north-west London as children went on a voyage of discovery this week.
Froxfield Infant School studies on the Hindu faith took all 31 children in the school north-west of Petersfield to the impressive first European traditional stone temple in Neasden.
The trip was masterminded by Francesca Ingham-Thomas, who leads religious education teaching in the school and who wanted the pupils to experience at first hand the fascinating temple and its beautiful interior and external features.
Travelling by coach funded by the Loves Charity, an organisation which has been part of the history of Froxfield School since Victorian times, the trip proved to be an exciting and memorable learning day for everyone, said Mrs Ingham-Thomas.
