A WEEK of hard-work from Frensham Heights Junior School’s years three and six pupils came together with an entertaining performance of ‘Intent’. The annual Play in a Week celebrated its 18th birthday with a new story, some new characters and a new name.

Originally written by Nic Hoskins, head of Frensham Junior School, and Steven Francis 18 years ago, the 68 students took a week away from the regular curriculum to learn, rehearse and perform the play to a full Aldridge Theatre.

Play in a Week provided the students with unparalleled opportunities to develop as a team, learn new skills and most importantly, enjoy themselves.

Intent received a standing ovation from understandably proud staff and parents with incredible performances from everyone involved.

Andrew Fisher, head of Frensham Heights, said: “It was a wonderful performance and really fantastic to see students so young put so much passion and energy into such a successful project.”
