YEAR seven pupils at Amery Hill School in Alton have been on their first residential trip, to the PGL Activity Centre at Osmington Bay in Weymouth.
The youngsters took part in a range of exciting and adrenaline-fuelled activities including abseiling, archery, trapeze and the ‘giant swing’ on their visit to Dorset.
Progress leader Hayley Elliott said: “Many students challenged themselves to overcome their fear of heights and it was excellent to see the students supporting each other and working as a team.
“It was a fantastic weekend and great to see the students having such an enjoyable time.”
And she added: “The residential weekend is an important event in the year seven calendar, providing a great opportunity for the year group to bond and get to know each other.”
