A GROUP of students who survived a terrifying shooting in a Canadian shopping mall have returned to Petersfield.

More than 30 students from The Petersfield School were in Toronto's Eaton Centre when a gunman opened fire on June 2.

Teacher Ricardo Ramshaw was widely praised for his heroic efforts, placing himself between the shooter and the pupils.

Two men, aged 22 and 24, were killed and several more were injured in the shooting, but none of the TPS pupils were harmed.
