POLICE in Alton are appealing for witnesses after a purse, handbag and mobile phone were stolen from a car in Medstead.

Thieves smashed the driver’s window while the Ford Fiesta was sat in the car park at Chawton Park woods between 4.55pm and 5.25pm on October 29.
