EVERY year Farnham Quilters present a challenge to their members. This year’s challenge was to make a quilt for a teenage boy to be sent, after display at the fabric fair at the Maltings, to Project Linus.

Project Linus provides quilts to babies, children and teenagers who are in hospital long term or who are having serious treatment. There are less quilts made for teenage boys, so we hoped to redress that balance a little.

Doris Dove was a popular winner of the Farnham Quilters Plate and her quilt may be seen in the Long Kiln room at the Maltings on January 14, when the Fabric Fair and Quilt Exhibition takes place.
