A SEWING day to make quilts for Project Linus UK, hosted by United Quilters in Farnham, resulted in more than 35 quilts being made to give a little bit of comfort to children aged between birth and 18 years, with life limiting illnesses, who for example are undergoing treatment for cancer or are in foster homes.
Each quilt is given to a child to keep, so there is always a need for more. The quilts are distributed throughout the area by co-ordinator Val Lillie, who last year alone gave out 1,450 quilts locally.

United Quilters welcome new members and visitors. Their monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month between 2pm and 4pm, at the United Reformed Church in South Street, Farnham, opposite Sainsbury’s.
