THE 27th annual presentation evening for the Farnham Independent Quiz League took place on Monday, May 14.

The overall champions were The Bat & Ball, with last year’s winners The Albion in runner-up spot.

The Albion also won the new Beer Round Challenge, first introduced last year.

Following the presentation, those who attended enjoyed the usual informal Friendly Quiz to finish off the season, along with supper kindly laid on by hosts The Bat & Ball.

This season was competed as a single division in order to allow away visits to all the pubs in the league.

The league is always open to new teams from pubs and clubs across the Farnham area. Matches use a spoken format between teams of four, which is unlike the normal written pub quiz and said to be much more entertaining.
