THE Farnham Independent Quiz League held its 26th annual presentation evening on Monday, May 8.

This year’s event was hosted by Division 2 winners Hale Nomads at the Frensham Royal British Legion where they play their home matches.

Overall champions for the third year in a row were Albion A, with runners-up the Jolly Farmer B from Blacknest.

As mentioned, Hale Nomads lifted the Division 2 trophy, with Frensham RBL second.

Following the presentation those present enjoyed the usual informal friendly quiz to finish off the season, along with supper kindly laid on by the Hale Nomads and the RBL.

The league is always open to new teams from pubs and clubs in the Farnham area.

Matches use a spoken format between teams of four, which is quite unlike the normal written pub quiz and much more entertaining!
