FARNHAM handcyclist Rachel Morris has been selected to represent Great Britain in the 2012 London Paralympics.

The British Paralympic Association announced the Team GB paracycling squad on Tuesday, naming Rachel as one of six women.

Rachel, who represented Team GB in Beijing in 2008, winning a gold medal in the time trial, will be well known to local road users who see her out training on local roads. Her low profile, three-wheel handcycle with union flags flying on a pole between the rear wheels is frequently seen out as far as Haslemere and Petworth as part of her daily training routine from her home in Farnham.

Rachel said: "I am so happy that all the hard work, dedication and focus has paid off."
