THE first of Radian's Hug in a Mug events was held on Saturday, with the housing provider laying on fun and informative activities for Headley Down residents.

Radian hosted the event, at Woodlands Hall, where people were able to enjoy a hot drink while learning a thing or two.

Radian community development officer Susi Drummond explained that as well as free activities and refreshments, experts offered advice on topics like energy efficiency, money saving and what Radian can do to help its residents.

Bordon residents can get a Hug in a Mug on Saturday, from 10am to 1pm, at the Forest Community Centre.

"We hope to have representation from local police community support officers and the fire service, our internal job and voluntary training team and local groups specific to the location," Mrs Drummond added. "The events are aimed at the whole community but in particular at our Radian residents."
