THIS year's Christian Aid coffee morning at the Church Centre on Portsmouth Road raised more than £1,000 – the second highest amount ever.
House-to-house collections brought in more than £4,600 and the collection at Sainsbury's superstore another £98.
Brenda Halsey, the village Christian Aid organiser said: "We estimate another £550 will come in to Christian Aid from Gift Aid pledges, so this was another great achievement by the people of Liphook.
"A big thank you to all those involved."
As well as refreshments, vistiors could browse a variety of stalls including one selling plants of all kinds, plus homemade cakes, crafts, clothes and produce, as well as children's toys books, CDs and DVDs, handmade cards and bric-a-brac.
All the churches in Liphook joined together for street and house-to-house collections. The charity works in some 50 counties helping some of the poorest people in the world.
