A STOLEN forklift used by thieves to target Santander ATM in Wey Hill, Haslemere, almost destroyed the front of the building.
Police were called to the scene at around 4.30am this morning (August 4)following reports the Haslemere bank’s cash machine had been targeted.
The forklift used to rip out the ATM -out on hire from Havant-based Marsh Plant - drove a huge hole in the facade.
A Haslemere resident, who has asked to remain anonymous, uploaded dramatic footage on his Facebook page of the ram raiders in action and making their getaway towards Haslemere Tesco in a Land Rover Defender.
