THE Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company has partnered with the Deadwater Valley Trust to provide a ranger service at the Hogmoor Inclosure over the next two years.
Brendan Finnegan, from the trust, will take the lead on the practical elements of management and maintenance, which will see the trust supply the Regeneration Company with 24 hours of ranger service per week at the Inclosure.
Assisting him is ranger Terry Read and community ranger Jenny Clarke. Jamie Cummins, senior countryside ranger, will also be involved in a management role.
The team will also provide nature and education events.
The team will be based at The Phoenix Theatre in Station Road.
Regeneration Company, which is developing Prince Philip Barracks near the Inclosure, said it chose to partner with the Deadwater Valley Trust because the organisation was well established in Bordon and had been managing the Deadwater Valley Local Nature Reserve since 1989 and the Bordon Inclosure SANG since January 2016, working closely with Whitehill Town Council and East Hampshire District Council.
Events planned include: September 20, identifying species and fauna; and October 11, signs-of-autumn walk.
