RAW sewage is spewing out of a manhole cover, onto the pavement and road in Papermill Lane.

District councillor David Orme (Alton Wooteys) said: "It is not a pretty site and demonstrates the overloaded systems we have in Alton that need addressing before the town can expand. This is not an isolated case."
