FAMILY and friends of reception aged children at Badshot Lea Village Infant School were treated to a very special performance of ‘The First Christmas’.

Mary and Joseph made the long journey to Bethlehem and spent the night in a stable full of animals. Following the birth of baby Jesus, angels visited the shepherds and a beautiful star guided the Three Wise Men to the stable.

The story was told through a number of songs and acting by the children, and the audience was totally enthralled by the well-known story.

Headteacher Gemma Ball expressed her gratitude: “What a start to our Christmas festivities – the children sang and acted with confidence in front of a full house and the performance was enjoyed by everyone. A huge thank you to the children and staff for all their hard work performing ‘The First Christmas’.”
