SURREY Police have said they are expecting a rise in criminal activity this year linked to the recession but will have to cope with nearly 200 staff job losses, including frontline officers.
The comments came from police chiefs following the announcement of new crime figures last week that showed a dramatic reduction in serious crime in the county.
