LUDSHOTT Photographic Club held its third competition for projected images under the theme of ‘Transport’ – and attracted a record entry of 92 pictures.

Judged by Gerald Kitiyakara, from Carshalton Camera Club, the beginners’ class included some outstanding images, with four authors gaining the maximum score of 10.

Top marks went to Grant Dawkins (Fishing Boat), Brian Dowdall (Where Are We Going?), Ian Rae (Eileen Donan and Corvette) and Alan Rawlings (Little and Large).

In the intermediate class, the top mark was awarded for ‘Looking Up on the Ferry’, by Ruth Greenfield, and Ken Lindup achieved a double-top with ‘Cruising Down the River’ and ‘Girl on a Donkey’.

In the advanced class, a plethora of authors made it to the top, with several having two of their three permitted entries scaling the dizzy heights of 10 out of 10.

Brian Bond managed a double with ‘Car Parts’ and ‘Concord’, as did Iain Morrison for ‘Canary Wharf Station’ and ‘Just Fed Up’. Last, but certainly not least, came Brian Marjoram with his images entitled ‘Off the Rails’ and ‘Transported on the Crest of the Waves’.

Others achieving maximum scores were Paul Crook (The Last Train of the Day), Angus McKay (Flying High), Gordon Rae (Moving House) and John Wichall (Paddock Hill Bend).

Ludshott Photographic Club draws its members from Liphook, Haslemere, Grayshott, Headley, Bordon and the surrounding area.
