IT was a record-breaking start to Petersfield open-air pool's new season when more than 110 swimmers turned up to take the plunge last Saturday.

With 85 swimmers coming through the turnstiles, and another 30 season ticket holders ready to enjoy the temptingly warm water, chairman of the pool's trustees Rodney Clark said: "The pool looks lovely as always and it was a good opening day."
