NEWS that South West Trains is being required to cut its fares from January next year has been received with mixed emotions by Alton Line Users Association (ALUA).
The reduction, which will equate to around two per cent for season ticket holders travelling on the Alton to Waterloo line, reflects SWT's failure to meet performance targets and this, says ALUA chairman Chris Campbell, is not so good.
