GRANTS of £5,000 for Surrey residents to install solid wall insulation through Action Surrey’s Streets Ahead project have now been allocated – thanks to overwhelming demand.
More than 500 Surrey residents will have solid wall insulation installed which will help them to feel warmer and reduce their energy bills.
Anyone who missed out can still register their interest with Action Surrey in case any more funding becomes available, although there is no guarantee.
Action Surrey works in partnership with, and is partly funded by, each of Surrey’s district and borough authorities to provide independent advice to residents on how to reduce energy and water consumption.
The project was awarded more than £2.5 million from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), which provided grant funding to 23 projects across England.
Action Surrey manages a network of trusted installers which can provide no-obligation, free quotes for homeowners interested in new boilers, cavity wall and loft insulation and renewable technology.
To sign-up to Streets Ahead’s waiting list in case any funding becomes available call 0333 014 3620 or visit the website www.actionsurrey.org/streetsahead.
