HINDHEAD residents have expressed relief and delight this week after plans for 16 flats at the British Car Auctions site in Portsmouth Road were turned down by Waverley councillors.
However, they have said they are "not under any illusion" that the matter will end there.
Councillors objected to the plans on the grounds of overdevelopment and overintensification of the site.
