PLANS for a relief road around Whitehill and Bordon have met with controversy, with criticism that Hampshire County Council has picked the "worst possible route" to consult on.
The inner relief road would skirt the town and reduce traffic on the A325, allowing for the new town centre to be pedestrian friendly.
But the preferred route, announced last week, was described as "ludicrous" by Whitehill Town Council leader Adam Carew, who accused the county council of failing to listen to residents.
