The Renaissance Choir, conducted by Peter Gambie, will sing Mozart’s Requiem at St Peter’s Church in Petersfield on October 28 at 7.30pm.

One of the finest pieces of classical music ever written, most of it was penned on Mozart’s deathbed, so it is full of anguish and pain, but also hope. The choir intends to capture all the emotions of this work – dark in parts, bursting with fury and undoubtedly Mozart’s most powerful music. This concert also comprises Haydn’s Te Deum in C major and William Byrd’s Mass for Five Voices.

Tickets, priced £15 (£2 under-25s), are available on the door, from One Tree Books in Petersfield or at www.renaissancechoir.org.uk
