A FARNHAM primary school placed under special measures by Ofsted last year has seen a slight upturn in its fortunes, after inspectors praised its "satisfactory" progress since their last visit.

The latest monitoring report praised Pilgrims Way School, on Weydon Lane, for "clear and well-led improvements" to its provision, recognising that all pupils are making better progress in lessons.

But the Government inspectors added there are not yet significant improvements in pupils' attainment, with improved teaching not yet impacting on pupils' achievement early in the academic year.
