THE parish of Selborne received the report on a strategy last week, drawn up by UK street design and rural roads expert Hamilton-Baillie Associates, to help address its own particular "traffic nightmare". Commissioned, just over a year ago, by Selborne Parish Council to devise a way of addressing traffic problems in the villages of Selborne, Oakhanger and Blackmoor, Ben Hamilton-Baillie had used the approach set out in his recently published Traffic in Villages - a toolkit for those communities keen to recover their village roads by developing new approaches to traffic speed, safety and civility.
