A JOURNALIST from Farnham found herself at the centre of a media storm this week after football manager David Moyes told her she might “get a slap”.

The remark came after the Sunderland manager took exception to a question asked by BBC Radio Five Live reporter Vicki Sparks following his team’s draw with Burnley on March 18.

He was recorded as saying: “You’re just getting a wee bit naughty at the end there. So just watch yourself or you might get a…you still might get a slap even though you’re a woman.”

Both were laughing during the exchange however, and the former Manchester United manager later apologised to Ms Sparks, who did not make a complaint.
