TRANSPORT company Altonian Coaches has had an 11th-hour reprieve with the holiday and excursion arm being bought by Southampton-based Wheelers Travel.
Following concerns last week that the 107-year-old company was about to fold, Wheelers jumped in to save the day for regular trippers, many of whom view Altonian Coaches as an institution.
