OLD Thorns Hotel, Golf and Country Estate has submitted a planning application for 51 holiday apartments, after a controversial public meeting was held at the end of April.

But after early reports of outrage and complaints, residents in Griggs Green say they are "mostly satisfied" following further consultations with chief executive Ashley Butterfield, who has addressed their concerns.
