AS the traffic roared by on the A325 crowds gathered at Bordon's War Memorial on Wednesday morning for a two-minute silence to mark the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month - the moment the First World War ended.

At the remembrance service, organised by Steve Johnson of Bordon's Royal British Legion, respectful visitors also remembered all those who died in that 1914-1918 war and in the wars that have followed.
