A RETAILER in Hartley Wintney has won a prestigious business trophy.
MiMi’s has won the award for Independent Gift Retailer of the Year for the home counties area of the South and South East. The shop has been in business for six years.
Ten of the MiMi’s team headed to London for a swanky award ceremony at the ballroom of the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane.
Julianne Maitland-Moore, the store owner, was overjoyed at their victory: “We are absolutely over the moon. It was amazing to be notified we had made the final six in our category – but to win was mind blowing.We are all so proud.”
The Great Gift Retailer Awards 2016, are now in their 14th year, and played host to over 400 gift retailers, along with suppliers, manufacturers, reps and agents on Thursday, May 5. It is recognised as a ‘must attend’ event on the gift industry’s calendar.
The editor of Progressive Gifts & Home, Sue Marks was overjoyed with how the ceremony went. “It was a fabulous afternoon for everyone involved – winners, finalists and sponsors – with attendees joining us from as far away as Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as from all across England.”
