DURING the New Year period, revised dates will be in place for East Hampshire District Council’s kerbside waste and recycling collections.

In the main the usual collection date will slip by a day.

* Refuse due to be collected on Thursday (December 29) will be collected on Friday (December 30) and the scheduled Friday collection will be picked up on Saturday (December 31).

* Refuse due to be collected on Monday (January 2) will have a revised date of Tuesday (January 3) with the pick-ups continuing to slide by one day throughout the week, leaving the scheduled Friday collection (January 6) to take place on Saturday (January 7).

Household waste recycling centres will be closed on New Year’s Day.

In the event of prolonged snow, ice and frosty conditions, householders are advised still to put their bins out and they will be collected as soon as possible.

Normal collection times will resume from January 9.

Householders are reminded also to put real Christmas trees with their garden waste sack or bin during January. This service is provided at no charge by EHDC.
