REVISED proposals to open a boarding school by the Durand Academy for Inner London School at St Cuthman's in Stedham have come under fire.

Headteacher Greg Martin said the South London-based academy wanted to give youngsters aged 13 to 18 who were 97 per cent African Caribbean a boarding school to give them a greater depth of study and experiences.

A revised planning application has now been made for the expansion of the existing boarding school for alterations to the Wispers building for staff accommodation, administration and stores, after the demolition of an external fire stair, laundry building.
