MEMBERS of Frensham Riding Club were awarded for their efforts and riding abilities in the club’s recent annual general meeting held at the Tilford Institute.

The meeting was opened by the club’s chairman, Jo Paull, who gave her report on all the many and varied events held during the year, followed by the treasurer, Maureen Blundell, reporting on the club’s finances.

The meeting closed with coffee and cake and presentations of the annual trophies. Jeanne Carr was awarded the Jenny Deeming Rosebowl from Karen Walsh for her help and dedication over the past year.

And Tracey Gould was awarded the Buzz Lightyear II memorial salver from Karen Walsh for gaining the most points in the Prelim classes over the year at the Frensham Riding Club’s dressage competitions.

Lesley Clague, from Frensham Riding Club, said: “The is a small, very sociable, non-competitive riding club (you don’t even have to own a horse to join in the fun) and we would welcome new members.

“The main aim of our club is to help and encourage our members in all aspects of horsey life. We organise demonstrations, dressage competitions, various visits, lectures, picnic rides, social events and training once a week.”
