A rifle and £250 cash were stolen when thieves forced their way into Alton's Army Cadet Force and Air Training Corps headquarters in Anstey Lane.

The building was one of three broken into on the Anstey Park site overnight between Thursday and Friday. Police are particularly concerned about the stolen firearm which was taken between 1.45am and 2.15am on November 14.

The 8th Alton Scout hut and St John Ambulance headquarters were also targeted.
