Drivers in and around Waverley will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A3, from 8pm April 8 to 6am April 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Compton to Thursley, Lane closures for barrier work.

A3, from 8pm April 10 to 6am April 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Hazel Grove, slip road and lane closures for surveys.

A3, from 8pm April 15 to 6am April 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via Highways England network.

A3, from 8pm April 17 to 6am April 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Milford, slip road and lane closures for sweeping of carriageway.

A3, from 8pm April 19 to 6am April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Milford, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.

A3, from 8pm April 19 to 5am April 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 southbound, Hazel Grove, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.

A3, from 8pm April 22 to 6am April 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Hazel Grove, Lane closures for drainage work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
