THE news that Hampshire County Council is to spend £2.3m on road repairs has been criticised by two of its Liberal Democrat members who say the sum is not enough to carry out all the major work needed to repair the county's "crumbling highways".
Shadow environment portfolio-holder Adam Carew said: "Hampshire's roads rate among the worst in the UK. In fact, they probably haven't been this bad since the Luftwaffe and it is more a question of pot-hole, pot luck for Hampshire residents."
