TRAFFIC misery is set to herald the end of the school holidays and return of the school run next week, with roadworks expected to cause delays across the town.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place opposite The Lobster Pot in Upper Hale Road from September 4 to 15 to allow Openreach to construct a large concrete chamber deep in the carriageway.
Stop/go boards will also be in operation on the A325 opposite the Grovebell industrial estate in Wrecclesham Road on September 2 and 3, again for roadworks by Openreach.
The A325 will also be closed to traffic overnight between September 3 and 6 at Bucks Horn Oak, to allow for carriageway resurfacing by Hampshire County Council.
Road closures are also scheduled for resurfacing in Menin Way, Upper Way, Vicarage Lane, West Avenue, Weydon Hill Road and Weywood Lane.
