ROADWORKS in Farnham led to an ambulance having to turn around due to poor signage, according to an eye witness.
It happened on Guildford Road which is closed until March 9 due to repair works on a burst water main.
The witness said that the road closure is not signposted clearly and that signs should be put up on the Shepherd and Flock roundabout, allowing drivers to take a different route into the town centre.
The ambulance had been travelling down Guildford Road before having to turn around and head back towards the roundabout.
It is part of a number of road closures, lane closures and traffic controls in the area over the coming week week.
There will be road closures on the A31 Farnham by-pass from March 14 to March 15 and Alma Way from March 12 to March 14.
The A31 Hogs Back, Guildford, will have a lane closure between March 12 and March 14, as will the A31 Hogs Back, Puttenham, from today (Friday) to March 12.
Traffic control (multi-way signals) will be in place on the A325 Farnham Road on March 12 to March 13, A325 Guildford Road from March 14 to March 16, B3001 Farnham Road between March 14 and March 20, B3005 Alma Lane from March 12 to March 14 and Tilford Road on March 14 to March 16.
