It's a busy week for roadworks across the Farnham area, with lane closures and temporary traffic lights expected to cause delays in several locations.

Listed below are some of the more significant schemes:

A31 lane closures on the move...

Lane closures for cyclical works by Surrey County Council are to spread from the A31 Farnham bypass to surrounding roads in coming days.

The county council has undertaken litter picking, grass cutting, strimming, gully cleaning, sweeping and weed spraying on the bypass this week – and is working on the Coxbridge roundabout today.

Lane closures will next be in place at the Water Lane and Shepherd and Flock roundabouts tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday.

A325 delays

FIVE WEEKS of traffic hold-ups await motorists on the A325 Farnborough Road.

Surrey County Council is reconstructing the pavement between the Brooklands Road and South Avenue junctions in Heath End.

Two-way traffic lights are scheduled from Monday, July 10 to August 18.

Works begin

WORK to reconstruct a section of pavement in Station Hill got under way yesterday – with ‘give and take’ traffic controls in place until July 18. The works are being undertaken by Surrey County Council.

Toob rollout continues

Portsmouth broadband provider Toob Ltd is continuing its rollout of full fibre  internet cables in the north Farnham area.

It began roadworks in Bishop Sumner Drive yesterday (Wednesday), where ‘give and take’ traffic control  will be in place until tomorrow (Friday).

Toob is also undertaking roadworks in Weybourne Road, requiring temporary traffic lights from today until Thursday next week.

And there will be more ‘give and take’ traffic control in Upper Hale Road from Monday to Wednesday next week.

Toob has previously been criticised for installing new overhead telegraph poles for its cables, instead of digging them underground.

More lights in Wrecclesham!

More temporary traffic lights are to be installed on the A325 through Wrecclesham next week.

F&W Networks is installing full fibre broadband cables  in Wrecclesham Road between the Coxbridge roundabout and the village railway bridge.

Traffic lights will be in place from Monday to Wednesday.
