ROADWORKS are set to begin as part of the C114 highway improvements and shared use cycleway scheme, as previously reported in the Herald.

Hampshire County Council has arranged for a ‘drainage CCTV survey’ to be carried out to “identify any existing highway drainage defects on this road that we can address during our main scheme, to minimise the need for future maintenance in the area”.

Works will begin on Monday (February 3) for up to two weeks, with basic traffic management, such as stop/go boards, in place between 9.30am and 4.30pm. The main works are set to start on May 4.

Elsewhere in the town, works on Camp Road are also set to start on Tuesday (February 4).

Give and take traffic controls will be in place for the day to allow for works by Hampshire County Council, around 50 metres from the bus stop opposite Canada Way.

It is to turn an “advance staggered junction sign” to the correct direction and re-tighten the bracket to the post.

While on the B3002 Headley Road, Grayshott, temporary traffic lights will remain in place until tomorrow (Friday).

And then from Tuesday until Thursday (February 6), further traffic controls will be in place on Headley Road as the county council works to replace a damaged Jubilee bollard.
