A ROGUE trader who duped a Hindhead woman into parting with £1,671 for cleaning carpets and falsely claiming carpet moths were infesting her home has been ordered to do 300 hours community service.

Steven Flynn, who had previous convictions, including for dishonesty, was also tagged and put under curfew for three months.

Surrey County Council Trading Standards brought five charges against Flynn who was was prosecuted at Redhill Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
