RAINBOWS, Brownies, Guides and Rangers revelled in a circus day in Frensham.

Held at More House School, the morning consisted of a medley of activities, including a hook-a-duck stall, which got harder for Guides and Rangers, a giant inflatable slide, a bungee run, an inflatable obstacle course and a circus-themed bouncy castle.

Other activities included face painting and speed-cup stacking, where the fastest person managed it in an amazing 0.03 seconds!

And after t-shirt decorating, badge making and plate spinning, the girls watched as Happy’s Circus quickly put up the big top.

Family and friends were welcomed to the circus where Bobbo the clown and others entertained and wowed the audience. Trapeze acts, giant spinning cubes and illusions enthralled the girls.

Over at Badshot Lea Village Infant School, students took part in Outdoor Classroom Day for the first time on May 23.

Children took part in a day of new adventures, including cooking on a campfire, woodwork, willow weaving and bug hunting.

Staff and children were allowed to enter the school building only to use the toilets – absolutely everything was outside!

Members of the community, including the Badshot Lea Bloomers and Tice’s Meadow, helped make the whole day a success.

Sports Day was then held on June 20, with a carousel of Cricket World Cup-themed activities including rain stops play, hit the stumps and dress the wicketkeeper. There were also traditional races and sports leaders from Farnham Heath End School ran activities in the afternoon.
