FARNHAM Rotarians organised a collection at Sainsbury's in Water Lane at the weekend to help relieve the hardship of the victims of the recent flooding. More than £2,100 was raised and these donations will be sent immediately to Rotary Clubs in the affected areas. Rotary is very grateful for the continuing generous support of the Farnham public and of Sainsbury's PLC. Rotary International is able to react very quickly in emergencies through its national, district and local structure. In fact, both Rotary clubs in Farnham as well as many other clubs around the UK have already made donations following the flooding several weeks ago. Further donations would be welcomed from individuals and businesses in Farnham and these can be sent by cheque made payable to 'The Rotary Club of Farnham Weyside'. Please send your donations to the offices of the Farnham Herald, Newspaper House, 114-115 West Street, Farnham, Surrey GU9 7HL. All donations will be acknowledged in writing.
