THE Weyside Duck and a group from Farnham Weyside Rotary Club visited The Ridgeway School to hand over funds raised at this year’s Farnham Duck Race.

It was an opportunity to see the range of impressive facilities available for children with severe and profound multiple learning difficulties. For one of the Rotarians the visit had a sentimental value, as his son was at the school 50 years ago.

President of Farnham Weyside Rotary Club, Diane Vasey, said how impressed she and the club were with the school and everything they had achieved.

Headteacher, Darryl Morgan, explained how grateful the school is for the donation and that they are planning to buy a set of Physio Steps. As the school is single storey, the children have no experience of steps in the school and so this will be a valuable extra facility.
